Power Evangelism Teams

New Song Church firmly believes in the ministry of evangelism. It is our desire to see every believer equipped to share and demonstrate their faith in Jesus Christ to the people around them.

Our Saturday Power Evangelism team is one way in which we are seeking to equip people in the area of evangelism, and also to respond as a church to Jesus' Great Commission in Matthew 28. Being intentional and consistent in evangelism is an important part of Kingdom life.

Every week (on Saturday) we meet at 10:30am at our Holly Street Chapel. Please call first, since the schedule occasionally needs to change week-to-week. (Richard: 292-1570). Our outreach is normally finished by 1pm.

Typically we send out several different teams each day. These are some of the ways we are currently enjoying doing evangelism:

• Prophetic evangelism - praying prophetic blessings over people in malls, stores and coffeehouses.
• Home-to-home evangelism - praying for people in their homes, sharing the love of God and inviting them to visit with us on Sunday.
• Healing evangelism - we are consistently amazed by the divine appointments God gives us with people He is wanting to heal. We've seen so many people physically healed that we've lost count. Glory to God!
• Conversational evangelism - sharing the Gospel in the context of friendly conversation at skateparks, coffeehouses, and on the street, etc.
• Mercy ministry - visiting hospitals, elderly care homes, homeless hangouts, and houses where people are unwell or who need encouragement of some kind.
