Prayer at New Song

Prayer is necessary for the people of God to flourish, and it is, in fact, essential to the very definition of the church: “my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” God is present and powerful and we take seriously His repeated commands to call upon Him in every circumstance. Prayer is not some magic formula or insincere religious words tossed up to Heaven; it is engaging with a very real God who delights in answering His children.

Prayer is central to our philosophy of ministry, as summed up in one of Pastor Dan’s favorite sayings: “When we work, we work. When we pray, God works.”
We want to see God work, so we are determined to be a people of prayer!

We begin every Sunday morning service by calling upon God in a concert of prayer, asking Him to move in our lives, our church, and our world. We also have pre-service prayer, prophetic and healing teams available during the worship service, a prayer room that focuses on anything from revival in the Rogue Valley to child prostitution in Thailand, 24-hour prayer watches, Moms in Touch, Wednesday night Prayer meeting where thirty to forty people gather to seek God’s blessing upon New Song and all our ministries, and the list continues.

Seeing God answer our prayers on a regular basis serves as fuel for the fire and that is why we are passionately committed to prayer. We experience miracles of provision, healing, and guidance all the time.
