New Song’s mission is to glorify and enjoy God.
Our mission means raising up a Spirit-filled body of believers who above all seek to know, love and obey Jesus Christ, and to partner with Him to bring Kingdom joy and Gospel power into every area of our lives.
What are New Song’s Core Beliefs?
We believe a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is our chief joy. Living in close friendship with Him is our greatest strength in gaining Kingdom transformation in our own lives and the world around us.
We celebrate a gospel not of words only, but of power. Grateful faith in the God who still performs miracles through his people is a key part of New Song’s culture. We embrace Christ’s commission that his people reach out to the lost through bold proclamation of the Good News with an eagerness to bring heaven to earth through signs and wonders following.
We worship to glorify God and enjoy His Presence. We accept with awe the privilege to live as temples of His Holy Spirit, and in our worship we receive with with joy His promise to inhabit the praises of His people. Enjoying the outpouring of His Presence is foundational to our praise.
What do we emphasize?
Enjoying God
“The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.” The unforgettable words of the Westminster Confession still ring true today. We are driven to know “how wide and high and deep is the love of Christ.” We long to experience in ever greater measure “the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus Christ,” without which the things of this world are “mere rubbish.”
We love what John Piper says about enjoying God: “God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in him”. We believe the most important thing we can do as disciples is wholeheartedly pursue our happiness in God.
Our 10 a.m. Sunday Morning Enjoying God Service is a great place to experience the presence of God and to receive challenging and inspiring teaching from His Word.
Enjoying Fellowship
Passion for God means passion for God’s people, including those who don’t yet know they belong to Him. We are eager to “encourage one another and build each other up in love” (1 Thess. 5:1). We love the model in the book of Acts, that amid the fiery anointing, the miracles, and the ever-present threat of persecution, God’s people “devoted themselves to fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer” (Acts 2:42).
Opportunities for fellowship at New Song include our Sunday morning Enjoying God Service, our Enjoying Fellowship groups.
